As a part of the 2016 UNESCO-UNITWIN Program, the 'UNITWIN Network Establishment Workshop' was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea during May 9-10, 2016. It was organized by Asia Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC), under the auspices of Korean Ministry of Education. The workshop was attended by 10 participants from Life University of Cambodia, Universitas Pelita Harapan of Indonesia, Royal University of Phnom Penh, and Cambodian & Indonesian government officials including H.E. Veasna Bunchhith, Secretary General of Cambodian National Council for Women(CNCW) and Dr. Ella Yulaelawati, Director of Early Childhood Education Development, Ministry of Education and Culture.


During the two day workshop, the participants have shared current status and needs of partner universities, and research results which was convened prior to the workshop, and have established a brief road map for the late-half of the 2016 UNESCO-UNITWIN Program. Dr. Myonghee Kim, Executive Director of APWINC and Program Manager of Leadership education of the program have stated that through the outcome of the workshop, customized education will be developed for the training program in August in Cambodia and Indonesia.
