Executive Director of APWINC, Dr. Myonghee Kim has visited Cambodia and Indonesia during Mar. 27 - Apr. 1, 2016, to further discuss on '2016 UNESCO-UNITWIN Program'. The meetings with the two partner universities, i.e. Life University in Cambodia, Universitas Pelita Harpan in Indonesia have successfully concluded.
Dr. Kim also had meetings with government officials, including the meeting with H.E. Kim Sethany, Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport ...in Cambodia, Mr. Harris Iskandar, Director General of Early Childhood and Community Education in Indonesia, and have reaffirmed the importance of women's empowerment, and have agreed to fully support the '2016 UNESCO-UNITWIN Program' to enhance women's ICT capacity & Leadership in respective countries.
To understand the current status of each country, Dr. Kim visited Korean Embassy to Cambodia and Indonesia, and had meetings with H.E. Kim Won-jin, Ambassador of Korean Embassy to Cambodia, and other Korean officials.
In this connection, '2016 UNESCO-UNITWIN Network Establishment Workshop' will be held in Seoul, Korea, hosted by APWINC, Sookmyung Women's University, during May 9-10, 2016.
